Want a celebration with modern beauty? Atlantis Banquets & Events can create such perfect moments for you — all day long.
The new continually replaces the old. Something fresh or novel appeals to popular culture … and nothing provides excitement like tapping into a current trend — even if that means bringing the past back into vogue. “At Atlantis Banquets & Events we are constantly evolving and adding unique elements to the celebrations we help coordinate,” said Danny Lanieri, Food and Beverage Director. “We look forward to all the new things this year brings us.”
Here are five wedding trends you can expect to see in 2024.
- Technology rules. While couples tend to unplug on their actual wedding day, the choices they make for their celebration come from modern means. The internet serves as an inspiration, with 86% of brides and grooms using social media, such as Pinterest and Instagram, to find vendors and ideas, and 19% using an AI tool for invitation copy, vows, toasts and text for their wedding websites, according to Zola.
2. Flower power. This is the year for floral abundance. In fact, according to Zola, garden ceremonies are the #2 style with 13% of couples looking for that vibe. You’ll see the theme throughout the wedding, too: Think opulent arches, tables filled with flowers and, even, blooms embroidered or appliquéd into the bride’s gown.
Atlantis Banquets & Events can bring nature into your day. Our Butterfly Garden provides an enchanting space for your matrimony photos with its bevy of tropical flowers and hundreds of butterflies. Plus, many of our venues offer glorious views of the grounds, such as the Sea Star Ballroom that overlooks the Treasure Cove Resort & Marina located on the Peconic River with its flurry of floral life such as the pretty white, pink and purple wild bergamots.
3. Unique entertainment. Your guests will delight in opportunities to experience the extraordinary like a drone show or a 80s cover band. The point is to make the wedding memorable and meaningful for your guests. For instance, at Atlantis Banquets & Events we offer novel opportunities for animal lovers. Couples can host ceremonies and parties using venues such as the 500-seat Sea Lion Stadium, with sea lions appearing as part of the festivities. And, who wouldn’t want a selfie with an African penguin?
Atlantis Banquets & Events even offers several pet friendly locations such as the Riverside Pavilion along the Peconic River — if you’d like to include a furried friend as ring bearer or best dog. If you’re staying the night, the nearby Hyatt Place Long Island and The Preston House and Hotel are also dog friendly.
4. Surprising food moments. Your loved ones enjoy a sit-down dinner or buffet, but why not supersize these culinary delights by providing specialized martinis, a family favorite food station or an after-hours snack bar? Atlantis Banquets & Events offers ample gourmet food selections for all needs, whether you want a special food experience like a hot chocolate bar, summertime hot dog cart or the freshest, sustainable products.
5. No more stuffy traditions. Celebrants enjoy, well, less of everything these days: smaller bridal parties, intimate ceremonies paired with a bigger party, comfort foods, candid photography. Feel free to do you — and if that means forgoing the cake cutting formalities so be it. You can even give your guests their slice in take-home boxes at the end of the night.
All of our weddings include a planner and a private, luxury bridal party suite, filled with snacks for the happy couple. Atlantis Banquets & Events offers a wedding package for every budget and need.
