Celebrate a Magical Wedding Weekend

Posted on Long Island Wedding, Long Island Weddings, Plan your wedding, Vacation Weddings, weddings, Weekend Weddings

Weddings can take place over several days — starting with an arrival event before the main celebration to the post-wedding brunch.

Wedding weekends — something 80 percent of U.S. couples want, according to Cactus Collective Weddings — give you more time to plan, celebrate and connect with guests during this special time. The traditional “wedding season” from May to October even offers several three-day weekends, including Memorial Day, Labor Day and Indigenous Peoples’ Day if you desire to extend the festivities past Sunday.

“Many couples like to make their wedding an event, starting it on Friday with a rehearsal dinner or welcome reception, then have their wedding on Saturday, and ending the celebration on Sunday with a post-wedding brunch or another guest activity,” said Tony Cotignola, Director of Sales at Atlantis Banquets + Events. “This way everyone can truly connect in an unrushed way.”

There’s even a Waterfront Suite — especially designed for the bride and groom —with a wraparound veranda featuring spectacular views and cozy chairs that invite a romantic tête-à-tête, a living/dining room and a comfortable king-sized bed. Its relaxing vibe promotes a restful space in the middle of happy, but jam-packed weekend.
